Finance Director

Description

Under the supervision of the Group Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Director will have the following responsibilities:

Develop and execute financial strategies to meet Africa50 Group goals and objectives
Oversee the development and implementation of new financial products, including innovative funding instruments, to meet Africa50 Group needs
Manage financial planning and financial reporting processes
Oversee financial risk management and compliance with international standards
Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making and optimize profitability
Manage relationships with external stakeholders including financial institutions and funds / fund managers service providers
Oversee budgeting, treasury and cash flow management functions
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial systems, policies and procedures

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or other related field
Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience with emphasis in the Financial Services/Investment sectors, particularly in the Private Equity and infrastructure investment areas, including 10 years at a managerial level
Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting, budgeting, treasury management, and financial reporting
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
Demonstrated experience in infrastructure development and financing in Africa, a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office Suite applications
