Senior Partner, Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund
An infrastructure specialist with over 30 years of global experience, Opuiyo currently oversees operations at Africa50, a pan-African infrastructure investment platform headquartered in Morocco, and focused on early stage project development, late stage equity investment, and global mobilization of public and private capital for investment in African infrastructure.
Prior to joining Africa50, Opuiyo was Managing Director/CEO of the pioneering ARM-Harith Infrastructure Fund based in Nigeria, focusing on early stage project development, equity investment in West African transport, energy, and utilities projects, and on exits.
Previously Managing Director/CEO, Lekki Concession Company, he led the pioneering Lekki PPP Toll Road Concession in Nigeria (the first such concession in West Africa) through development, financial close, execution, and eventually to exit.
He previously held various roles at RWE Thames Water Group, the UK’s largest privatized Water Utility. These included Finance Director, Thames Water International; Business Performance Director, Latin America, Thames Water Chile; and Vice President, American Water.
Opuiyo is a regular speaker at international conferences and other forums and has had several articles published in international business reports and magazines, actively engaging in thought leadership on infrastructure policy, financing, and implementation across Africa and beyond.
