Marjorie Semeteys
Senior Financial Controller
Ms. Semeteys, who joined Africa50 as a consultant in mid-2016, was appointed Financial Controller in January 2018. Previously she was Financial Manager for a subsidiary of ILIAD, and for five years served as Financial Controller with Marie Claire Group, helping oversee the international editions and joint ventures of the magazine. She started her career as an Investment Analyst with Sumitomo Corporation of America, overseeing investments in private equity funds.
Marjorie holds a Master’s degree in management from Paris-Dauphine University and an MBA from Nicholls State University in Louisiana. She is a dual citizen of France and Senegal.
