Kaniaru Wacieni
Senior Investment Director
Mr. Wacieni has over 17 years of financial sector experience. Prior to joining Africa50 in October 2019, he was a Business Development Director at Globeleq LP for 3 years, where he focused on power infrastructure investing. Before this, Kaniaru was an Executive Director at J.P. Morgan’s Power & Utilities group in New York, where he advised on M&A, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, and debt and equity financings. He began his career in 1999 at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and London in the Industrials and TMT investment banking sectors.
He holds a BA from Harvard University (honors) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a citizen of Kenya.
