Cheikh Mamina Diedhiou
Senior ESG Manager
Mr. Mamina Diedhiou started as Africa50’s Senior ESG Manager in July 2020. Prior to this he worked as an ESG Advisor for African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM), a Private Equity Fund, for about three years, where he oversaw ESG issues in West and Francophone Africa. He started his career in 2005 as an Environmental and Social Consultant, specializing in ESG impact assessment and management, advising on projects in sectors such as mining, energy, and agriculture, and working with IFIs on ESG due diligence and project monitoring in West Africa.
Cheikh holds an MSc in Environmental Sciences from the Institut des Sciences de l’Environnement (ISE) of Diop University in Dakar, a Master’s degree in Wetlands Management from the University of Ouagadougou, and a BSc in Environmental Engineering from Hassan II University in Casablanca. He is a Senegalese citizen.
