Alain Ebobissé

Alain Ebobissé is a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience in infrastructure finance and development, globally.

He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Africa50 Group in Casablanca, Morocco, since 2016, a pan-African infrastructure investment and asset management group which has 34 shareholders, including 31 African countries, the African Development Bank and two African Central Banks.

Prior to this role, Mr. Ebobissé held various leadership positions at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) / World Bank Group in Washington, DC. As the Global Head of IFC InfraVentures from 2008 to 2016, he led the design and implementation of the World Bank Group’s Global Infrastructure Project Development Fund, IFC InfraVentures from its inception. In this role, he successfully mobilized private and PPP infrastructure investments, exceeding US$10 billion; he oversaw a global team and played a pivotal role in the development of several high-profile projects in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, across various key sectors.

Earlier in Mr. Ebobissé's career at IFC, he served as Chief Investment Officer, managing senior-level relationships with key stakeholders in the infrastructure sector, providing strategic oversight and leading project financings and equity investments globally.

Mr. Ebobissé holds an MBA from the International School for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland, a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science and Operational Research from UTC Compiegne in France, and a BA in Mathematics from the University of Saint-Etienne, France.
