Carole Wainaina steps down as Chief Operating Officer of Africa50, and transitions to the role of Special Advisor to the CEO based out of Nairobi
Casablanca, Morocco, 1 August 2020 – Africa50, the pan-African infrastructure investment platform, announces that Ms. Carole Wainaina, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) has decided to free up time to pursue other activities in her native Kenya.
Ms. Wainaina will remain a member of the team and work with the CEO, providing support on a part-time basis as Special Advisor to the CEO. In her new capacity, Ms. Wainaina will continue to support Africa50 with fundraising and other strategic initiatives, including representing the company in various fora. She will also support the transition to her successor.
