Africa50 CEO meets with President of Ethiopia

Africa50 CEO, Alain Ebobissé has held discussions with H.E. Sahle-Work Zwede, President of Ethiopia, on ways of strengthening collaboration with the country in order to support its infrastructure development plan.

During the meeting, held in Kigali on 25 March, on the sidelines of the Africa CEO Forum, Mr. Ebobissé updated President Zwede on investment projects being considered by Africa50 in Ethiopia, particularly in the power sector. He noted that his institution was exploring opportunities to invest in power plants that would supply electricity to the country’s industrial parks.

President Zwede gave assurance of her full support for Africa50’s activities in Ethiopia and said that she was looking forward to a fruitful collaboration.

Mr Ebobissé and President Zwede also discussed the prospect of Ethiopia becoming a shareholder of Africa50 in the near future.
