During an Energy Transition panel organized by the Georgetown University Business Conference, Africa50 Chief Operating Officer Tshepidi Moremong advocated for Africa to find the right energy mix, using natural gas as a bridge fuel to drive industrialization while achieving a just transition to net-zero.
The panel discussed the impact of climate change on the continent, the challenges and opportunities in the energy transition phase, and ways to finance climate-resilient infrastructure.
