Dana Bennett

Dana Bennett joined Africa50 as Principal Legal Counsel in July 2022. Previously she worked in both legal and corporate support capacities at the International Finance Corporation in Washington, D.C. and Istanbul, Turkey for twelve years. As a Senior Counsel at IFC, she provided legal, policy and structuring advice on complex equity, project finance and quasi-equity transactions across IFC’s industry sectors in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She was also responsible for a large portfolio of projects, including equity exits and restructurings. Prior to IFC, Dana was an Associate at the law firm of Cleary Gottlieb in their Washington, D.C. and Paris offices focusing on structured finance, securities enforcement and capital markets transactions. She holds a degree in Government from Harvard College (’99), with a Citation in French, and a law degree from Yale Law School (’03).
